3RC will reach more than 240 000 kids in 2011
The success of the Rocking Future Roadshow has created huge awareness in schools and tertiary institutions, as a result of which there are more schools clammering for the roadshow than 3RC can accommodate. But the good news is that, after months of planning, 3RC will begin production of their biggest project so far - the Rocking Future DVD.
The DVD will showcase 30 of SA's top tertiaries, as well as dramatizations of the issues kids face as they choose where and what to study. In addition, video 'FAQ's' will give Life Orientation teachers an excellent resource for answering burning questions in an entertaining, memorable way.
With a reach of 800 schools across all 9 provinces, this huge project will take vital info to more teens than ever before, with a minimum reach of 240 000! 3RC will also be using this as a platform to gather research from our country's learners.
To pre-order (the DVD is free to schools) or to see if your college or university can still book a place, contact our office on 011-7826991.

2010 Team
Three Ring Circus has finalized their new-look team for their highly successful flagship project, The Standard Bank Rocking Future Roadshow. The Roadshow, which showcases a number of colleges and universities to the country’s matriculants, has doubled its efforts – as well as its team – for 2010. Pressurised time constraints due to the Soccer World Cup means that the Roadshow will now visit 30 000 Grade 12s in only three-and-a-half months compared to the usual eight months.
The first member on board is newcomer John Mafohla, who also doubles as an accomplished team cyclist and young entrepreneur. Joining him is Chris Watkins, who will be familiar to learners all over the country for his entertaining appearance in the short film ‘Face the Facts’. Completing the talented line-up is Pascal Lwambwa and Jared Munien, who are both seasoned Roadshow professionals in their second season with the production.
Each show features representatives of up to 20 of the country's finest universities and colleges, helping learners understand the enormity of study options available to them. Through face-to-face interaction with these institutions, and the informed and entertaining nature of the show itself, the message soon becomes abundantly clear that Grade 12’s must make the right career choice, not the expected one.
The Roadshow will kick off its tour in Pretoria and Cape Town on January 14th 2010, and will then make its way through Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth, Durban and Pietermaritzburg, before ending its journey in the East Rand on April 30th.

Three Ring Circus launches Freaky Science in primary schools
We will be rolling out a month of Freaky Science shows in the greater Johannesburg area in February 2009. This interactive show is aimed at the Grade 5 to Grade 7 group, and brings across the scientific method in one hilarious hour.
Freaky Science won Best in Show at Sci-Bono Science week, as well as at Sasol TechnoX. After two years of running at these well-known science and technology expo's, the show will now hit the road, going directly to primary schools.
"This is what separates us from the majority of youth marketing companies," says Creative Director Tanya Vandenberg, "in that we come into projects from an educational perspective, and then find a suitable corporate partner." She also pointed out that, with the current pressure on school schedules, it is imperative to have a genuine, quality offering in order to gain access to the schools.
Originally sponsored by Sasol (for the pilot projects), Freaky Science is currently only available to schools able to pay for the show, and is open to sponsorship.

New show for Grade 9's about subject choices
We're very pleased to announce that the pilot of FYI (for your inspiration) will take place next year, in May, in the greater Gauteng region. 40 schools will take part, with the aim of educating every Grade 9 in those schools as to subject choices. This will be a combination of interactive workshop and one-on-one time with FET colleges and career education representatives. Contact our office if you are a school or college who would like to be involved.
In September 2008, we will be conducting research and involving 6 schools in the first round of workshops, enabling us to create a show that gets to the heart of what students and teachers need at this level.
